The idea
A place where giving felt natural.
During Ramadan 2026 we opened the Make A Kid Happy Pop-up Café, a temporary charity café designed to create lasting impact. After iftar, visitors could enjoy coffee or tea through The Happy Cup initiative. With every purchase, a minimum of €1 was donated to help bring joy to children worldwide.
The Happy Cup was more than just a drink. It was a moment of connection, awareness and meaningful experience, a place where people came together for something greater than themselves. In a month where charity and unity are central, the café offered an accessible way to contribute to a brighter future for children.
Objectives & vision

Contribute to the happiness and well-being of children worldwide, through the projects the proceeds flow into.

Raise awareness about the mission and projects of Make A Kid Happy among people who walk in for a coffee.

Inspire new volunteers and donors to join and strengthen our community.
Leave a message for the children we support
The café is centred around generosity, connection and impact. Visitors are actively engaged in the story and mission of Make A Kid Happy, and get the chance to leave a personal message for the children we support. The proceeds are distributed across ongoing and future MAKH projects, with transparency and measurable impact at the heart of everything we do.

Family & Friends Night
We kicked off with a special opening evening. Friends, family, public figures and media were invited to reflect together on the purpose of the café, with space for interviews, content creation and sharing the story behind The Happy Cup.
It showed how a small gesture during Ramadan can make a meaningful difference for children around the world.

Where do the donations go?
Donations are allocated to ongoing and future projects of Make A Kid Happy. We keep everyone transparently informed about the impact through our social media channels.
How can I become a volunteer?
A QR code at the coffee bar takes you to our Instagram, where you can send us a message.
Can I donate without buying coffee or tea?
Yes. Several QR codes are available throughout the pop-up café, letting you donate to a specific project or make a general contribution. There is also a physical donation box for cash.
